An angry Cannon fired back to defend his wife and his joke was successful.

Carey has been a focus of the show all of season 5. When ASAP Rocky made his guest appearance he was compared to Cannon during the game "So Fly." The purpose of the game is for the team members to emphasize how cool their captain is.
"My man A$AP Rocky is so fly," comedian Conceited said about his team's leader. "Mariah said, 'I wish I was married to a real rapper like you.' "
French Montana dissed Carey in a previous episode of the show. During the game "Trending Topics," the Wild 'N Out crew and Montana were expected to come up with "things old people say." When it was his turn, the Pop That rapper said, "Thank God I married Nick Cannon." The joke was in reference to Cannon and Carey's 11-year age difference.
Kevin Hart appeared on the season premiere and spent a significant amount of time talking about his admiration for Cannon's wife. He screamed during the show, "I love Mariah. I want Mariah."
Mac Miller also brought up the 43-year-old singer when he was on the show in July.
"Boohoo, the last raps you kicked, they were doo-doo. I got more views than you on YouTube, plus I heard Mariah make more money than you do," Miller told Cannon during the "Wildstyle" segment.
The episode with Budden premieres on Tuesday 11/10c on MTV2.
