The CW's Vampire Diaries ended on both high and low notes for Jeremy Gilbert (Steven R. McQueen). While he is alive and well, he had to pay the price by way of his girlfriend Bonnie Bennett's (Kat Graham) death..

With the way the respective plot line played out in the fourth season, many fans are surely wondering what lies ahead for Jeremy, and it appears as though the Mystic Falls resident may be blaming himself for Bonnie's passing.

McQueen recently took the opportunity to speak to TV Fanatic about his character's current predicament, and how he'll be grieving in the upcoming episodes.

"From Jeremy's perspective, it's losing another loved one and it being my fault." He also stated that he's "carrying the weight of that secret," he said.

To add insult to injury, McQueen also confessed that Jeremy still carries a torch in his heart for Bonnie.

"My heart is still with Bonnie," he said.
