'Orange Is The New Black' Season 2 Premiere: Laura Prepon's Character Set To Go To A Different Prison? [VIDEO]
To the disappointment of many fans, Orange Is The New Black's Laura Prepon (Alex) will be coming back for just one episode in the Netflix program's second season, as it appears she'll be making her exit.
On Sept. 11, Buzzfeed reported that Prepon "was not returning to Orange Is The New Black in a regular capacity in August."
However, Netflix had previously spoken out to say that the news was "not accurate" while Season 2 "is still developing and nothing is confirmed."
Actress Taryn Manning (Pennsatucky) was queried on Prepon's status and gave the following response to ET Online on Aug. 21.
"Well, there's a book and that character goes to another facility in that book. I'm not sure what's going on, I definitely feel a bit of a loss, but to be totally honest with you, no one is really talking about it," she said.
Taylor Schilling, who plays the lead role of Piper Chapman, was also in the dark as to how the creative brass will proceed with the Prepon matter.
"Well, you know, I don't really know anything about that, I just know that she's an amazing actress and I've really had an incredible time working with her and I know that there's no end to that relationship," she told EI Online on Aug. 23.
Orange Is The New Black will start season 2 at some point in 2014. Be sure to keep checking back for more of the latest details on the Internet series. A preview video can be watched below.
