One of Community's more famous guest stars is returning for more episodes in season 5.

John Oliver will be returning to Community in season 5 to reprise his role as Professor Ian Duncan, according to a Wednesday report by The Hollywood Reporter. Oliver will return for at least six episodes of the new season.

Oliver recently finished up his eight-week hosting gig on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, filling in for host Jon Stewart, who took the summer off to direct a movie. Oliver was met with rave reviews for his hosting job and remains a correspondent on the show.

Oliver joins numerous guest stars that are lining up to be on Community this season. Other guest actors include Jonathan Banks (Breaking Bad), who will play a criminology professor in 11 episodes, Walton Goggins (Justified), who is playing a mysterious man with a plan and Rob Corddry (Children's Hospital), who is returning as lawyer Alan Connor.

Community's fifth season will also bring some new changes for the main characters. Donald Glover, who plays Troy Barnes, will only be appearing in five episodes this season before leaving the sitcom to pursue his rapping career. Chevy Chase, who plays Pierce Hawthorne, is not returning to the show in season 5 after electing to leave at the end of season 4.

Season 5 of Community does not have a scheduled premiere date yet, but it is expected to premiere at some point in the 2013-2014 TV season on NBC. Comedy Central will begin airing reruns of the show on Sept. 20.
