'Vampire Diaries' Season 5 Spoilers: Sexy Dressed Elena Shown Turning Her Back To Damon? [VIDEO & Details]
The CW's hit TV series, Vampire Diaries, continues to garner a massive amount of attention for its highly anticipated fifth season, as a new promo poster for its upcoming installment has now surfaced on the web.
TV Guide recently put up the exclusive photo of the principal cast members. Elena (Nina Dobrev) could be seen in a red, see-through skirt amid the rest of the characters, who are all decked out in black. Interestingly enough, she's also turning in the opposite direction of her rekindled flame, Damon (Ian Somerhalder).
"This season, we're really going back to what we had in season 1, which is what sucked everyone in to begin with," Somerhalder explained from the Atlanta set.
Judging by the promo image, it seems as though dopplegangers Silas (Paul Wesley) and Katherine (Dobrev) will be very much in the mix for the upcoming episodes as well.
However, Katherine is now "overpowered - and overshadowed - by no-longer newbie, vampire Elena," stated the site.
The CW's Vampire Diaries will be launching season 5 on Thursday, October 10. Its spin-off series, The Originals,will begin its first season on Tuesday, October 15. Be sure to keep checking back for up-to-date details on the vampire show.
