Death is in the air for the Las Vegas team as CSI: Crime Scene Investigation returns for its 14th season.

When viewers last left the intrepid crime fighters at the end of "Skin in the Game," two members of the CSI family were in grave danger. Abducted by the Dante's Inferno killer, Morgan (Elisabeth Harnois) and Ellie Brass (Teal Redmann) will still be missing when the season premieres with "The Devil and D.B. Russell."

As previously reported, when the episode opens viewers will be faced with a caskets and a church filled with only a portion of the CSI team. Noticeably absent will Morgan, although TV Guide has recently revealed that more members will enter the church as the episode progresses.

"There is someone in there who is a member of the CSI family," said Executive Producer Don McGill, according to TV Guide. "It will be clear whose memorial service it is at the very end of the show, and I think it will very much be a surprise and a shock to the audience."

To find out the identity of the deceased, the episode will flashback after the cold opening, taking viewers through the search for the missing woman. However, it appears this journey will be rather bloody.

"As more characters die," McGill told TV Guide. "It will be interesting for the audience to question who is in the casket."

CSI will return to CBS on Sept. 25.
