'Basketball Wives' Season 5 Star Tami Roman Quits, Reveals on Twitter; New VIDEO Rant Blasts Shaunie O'Neal
Reality star Tami Roman does not intend to return to Basketball Wives if the show gets renewed for another season, she tweeted Sept. 10.
After a social follower asked, "do you think you'll return to next season's #BasketballWives if there is one?" Romans imply replied "No."
Roman will instead enter the talk show arena, since is set to be a co-host VH1's Tiny Tonight. She tweeted on Sept. 4, "Joining the girls of Tiny Tonight, cant wait 2work w/ @TinyMajorMama @TRINArockstarr & @claudiajordan -Thank U Tiny!"
She will fill the co-host spot left empty by singer/reality star Tamar Braxton.
Roman discussed her disdain for BBW in a radio interview earlier in September. Talking to The Morning Riot on Sept 3, Roman said, "I'm sick of the Basketball Wives train that has the left the station this season."
Roman posted on Tuesday her weekly YouTube commentary about BBW. Talking about episode 5, which aired on Monday, she said she appreciates Shaunie O'Neal being more vocal this season but she feels that the show's creator isn't being as forthright as she appears.
"I love the fact that you are speaking your mind," Roman said. "But here's the problem with what I'm saying over the course of shows: You're looking a little shady because before anybody else can say anything, you done took it back."
Roman created the Youtube series as a platform where she can express how she feels, defend herself and "speak up" for herself week-by-week, she said in a previous video. She insisted that the move was also a bid to revamp her image since she was previously considered the bully of the cast in season 3 and 4.
"At the end of the day, I am tired of trying to tell people who I am and convince people who I am," she said.
