To the excitement of its fans, AMC's hit zombie series, The Walking Dead, will be making its return for season 4 next month, and it appears the program will be getting a fresh new face in Twilight's Christian Serratos.

The actress is also known for her roles in ABC's The Secret Life of the American Teenager and Nickelodeon's Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide. However, she'll be making the transition into a more serious capacity on Walking Dead, according to Deadline.

The 22-year-old is set to don the role of Rosita Espinosa, who is a "tough and beautiful" zombie apocalypse survivor.The character was initially introduced in the 53rd issue of the Walking Dead comic series.

In the comic book, Rosita is shown alongside the characters of Eugene and Abraham, and had a romantic relationship with the latter.

Serratos is one of several new actors that will be attached to the upcoming season of the hit TV series.
