'American Horror Story: Coven' Spoilers: Four New Posters Released & Episode 2 Plot Details [VIDEO]
Four new posters were released for American Horror Story: Coven, giving viewers a taste of what to look forward to in the latest installment.
The first poster features a woman in a frilly dress sitting on a chair with her eyes seemingly scratched away. She is seen holding a voodoo doll in her hand while a snake comes out of her dress. This poster seems to be in reference to voodoo witchcraft, which will be a focus of the new season, which is set in New Orleans.
In the second poster, a snake is seen entering the mouth of a woman. There has been a lot of snake imagery in the promotional photos and trailers for Coven, including the official poster for the new season, which features a snake weaving out of the mouths of three women.
The third poster features three women in high heels that seem to be levitating above a table. Many of the teaser trailers have depicted women (likely witches) levitating. Coven will be about Salem witches who have flocked to New Orleans who go up against local voodoo witches, so this poster likely shows the capabilities of that particular coven of witches.
The most graphic poster is the fourth one, which shows a woman being punctured by numerous pins and needles. This may be in reference to the previously reported plot about the Salem witches being killed in New Orleans by the voodoo witches.

In other American Horror Story spoiler news, FX officially released a synopsis for episode 2 of the new season, titled Boy Parts. The episode features Fiona (Jessica Lange) is tasked with helping Zoe (Taissa Farmiga) and Madison (Emma Roberts) through a tragedy. Meanwhile, socialite Delphine LaLaurie struggles in adjusting to modern life while Cordelia (Sarah Paulson) must face a dark decision regarding her family.
American Horror Story: Coven premieres on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 10 p.m. on FX.
