'TODAY' Show's Kathie Lee Gifford Questions Melissa Gorga & Joe Gorga Cheating Rumors Feuled Kids' Paternity Questioning?
Melissa Gorga's recent appearance on TODAY reportedly left her "devastated" thanks to Kathie Lee Gifford.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star appeared on the fourth hour to promote her book, Love Italian Style on Wednesday and was interviewed by Hoda Kotb and Gifford.
During her Q&A segment, Gifford reportedly asked Gorga if her husband Joe Gorga is the biological father of their three children. The couple are parents of Antonia, 8, Gino, 5, and Joey, 3.
"Kathie Lee was asking general stuff about the book, and out of left field, she asked Melissa if Joe is in fact the father of all her children," an insider told In Touch. "Melissa got really annoyed by the question."
"It was actually really rude of Kathie to go off script like that," the insider explained of Melissa's shock at the question. "It really upset Melissa, and Bravo wasn't happy about the question either."
Melissa and Bravo are reportedly so upset that they are seriously considering asking Gifford for a public apology.
EnStars, reported on Tuesday that Melissa's ex-boyfriend, Bryan "Bulldog" Owens is allegedly threatening to come forward with some nasty allegations. He alleges that not only did Melissa marry Joe for his money, but that he and Melissa continued to sleep together well into her marriage.
An insider explained to Enstars that before Melissa met and married Joe, she was in a four-year relationship with Owens and the two were even living together.
According to the source, Bryan has reached out to Joe Gorga and "wants the Gorgas to do a lie-detector test on live TV."
Life & Style Weekly reported in February that Melissa was cheating on her husband of nine years. During several episodes of season 5 of RHONJ, Melissa has met with her sister-in-law Teresa Giudice with the article in hand and other cast members to find out who started the rumors to help put an end to it.
The National Enquirer reported in August that Joe is alleged to have also possibly cheated on Melissa. An insider told the newspaper that Melissa "stormed" away from her husband after she went through his cellphone and discovered sexy text messages from other women.
"[Melissa] came across a string of texts from not one, but several different women!" said the insider. An insider revealed she found the sexts while Joe was not home. When he returned and she confronted him, Melissa reportedly became so upset that she threw his phone against a wall and destroyed it.
