‘How I Met Your Mother’ Season 9 Spoilers: Robin To Butt Heads With Barney's Mother In Upcoming Episode?” [VIDEO & Details]
As fans eagerly await the next events set to occur and possibly ruin Barney and Robin's wedding, CBS released the synopsis for the fifth episode of How I Met Your Mother's final season, titled The Poker Game.
The bullets will keep flying in Barney and Robin's face as Robin begins to butt heads with Barney's mother Loretta (Frances Conroy), who brings new meaning to the term "monster-in-law." The two wind up putting Barney in the middle of their spat and Lily will be forced to step into the middle of the fight as she stands by Barney's side, ready to coach him on "how not to ruin his relationships."
To add to the troubles facing the group in the episode, Ted and Marshall will also get into a squabble over the wedding gifts and thank you notes, according to The International Business Times.
Previous spoilers for the show revealed that Lily will be dealing with her frustrations over Ted's secret plan to move to Chicago after the wedding in episode 3, Last Time in New York. She will also have to deal with a possible fallout between Barney and Ted when Barney learns that Ted still has secret feelings for Robin in episode 4, The Broken Code.
Season 9 premiered to good numbers on Monday night by finishing second to NBC's season 5 premiere of The Voice, according to TV by the Numbers. CBS saw a 2.7/7 rating per share among adults 18-49 and a 2.3/7 rating per share among adults 18-34, totaling in 8.338 million total viewers.
