'Doctor Who' Season 7 DVD WATCH Minisodes 'Rain Gods,' 'Clara and the TARDIS,' 'The Inforarium' VIDEO
Three new Doctor Who minisodes have found their way onto the Internet.
Doctor Who Season has been released on DVD in the U.S. and with it comes a little extra content. Whovians can now watch "Rain Gods," "Clara and the TARDIS," and "The Inforarium."
As the Eleventh Doctor's (Matt Smith) screen time becomes ever more valuable in the run-up to his regeneration, viewers now have three extra minutes with the affable Time Lord as he evades danger and implements a few new tricks to insure his anonymity.
"Rain Gods" features the Doctor and River Song (Alex Kingston) as they attempt to keep themselves from being sacrificed. Writer Neil Gaiman provided some background about the creation of the minisode.
"For the puzzled and curious. The lost Planet of the Rain Gods sequence from THE DOCTOR'S WIFE, which was drawn by Mark Buckingham as a comic featuring the Doctor and Amy and Rory in the 2012 Doctor Who Brilliant Book, was then rewritten by me as a Doctor/River minisode for the DVD, and then that script was filmed more or less given some limitations of time and budget, does now sort of exist," Gaiman stated, according to Doctor Who TV.
Meanwhile, "Clara and the TARDIS" deals with the Doctor's latest companions difficult relation with his spaceship while "The Inforarium" sees the Doctor attempt to use The Silence's technique in order to make people forget about him.
The Eleventh Doctor and Clara (Jenna Louise Coleman) return Nov. 23 in "The Day of the Doctor."
