Another guest star has been booked to return for How I Met Your Mother's final season.

Bryan Cranston will reprise his role as Ted's (Josh Radnor) former boss, Hammond Druthers, later this season. CBS broke the news on Twitter, accompanied by the hashtag "#BreakingMother."

Cranston last played the role for two episodes in 2007, where the character was loathed so much, that he was later demoted.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Cranston's appearance in those episodes was filmed in the brief period between Malcolm in the Middle and Cranston's super-successful run as Walter White on Breaking Bad.

Cranston is not the first guest star to be making an appearance on How I Met Your Mother's 9th and final season. Wayne Brady has already reprised his role as James Stinson, appearing in the series premiere and announcing to Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) that he was getting a divorce.

Other returning cast members will include John Lithgow, who played Jerry Whitaker (Barney's biological father), in 2011; William Zabka, who appeared as himself in an earlier episode in 2013, will be reprising his role for at least eight episodes this season.

The entire final season is set to take place over the course of Barney and Robin's (Cobie Smulders) wedding weekend, holding the promise that at some point, Ted will finally meet the mother of his children.

There are no details as to whether Cranston's character will be appearing at Barney and Robin's wedding, or if Ted will be seeing him during a flashback to an earlier season.

Cranston's Breaking Bad will be airing its series finale this Sunday on AMC, and he will begin filming movies including Godzilla and Cold Comes the Night soon.

How I Met Your Mother airs Mondays at 8:00 p.m. on CBS.
