'Survivor: Blood vs. Water' Episode 2 Recap: Colton Causes Drama as First Duel Results in Departing Favorite [VIDEO]
Two favorites and a loved one faced off on Redemption Island in episode 2 of Survivor: Blood vs. Water.
Galang Tribe: Aras Baskauskas, Colton Cumbie, Gervase Peterson, Kat Edorsson, Laura Boneham, Laura Morett, Monica Culpepper, Tina Wesson and Tyson Apostol
Tadhana Tribe: Brad Culpepper, Caleb Bankston, Ciera Eastin, Hayden Moss, John Cody, Katie Collins, Rachel Foulger and Vytas Baskauskas
Redemption Island Inhabitants: Candice Cody, Marissa Peterson and Rupert Boneham
The episode began with Marissa going to Redemption Island after being voted out. Marissa was frustrated that she was voted out based on the actions of her loved one Gervase at the challenge.
Meanwhile, Colton was upset with how the "zen" Galang tribe had become. Colton tried to cause a little drama but he was halted when the rest of the tribe agreed not to talk about strategy until they lost a challenge.
On the Tadhana tribe, Rachel decided to make nice with the men of the tribe, especially John. The duo had noticeably become closer which concerned the other tribe members.
The tribes then ventured to Redemption Island where they witnessed the first duel of the season - Candice vs. Rupert vs. Marissa. The challenge involved each castaway maneuvering a wooden spool through a metal channel structure. The first two castaways to get 10 spools on top of their structure would stay in the game.
Candice was first to finish the challenge and was able to give a clue to the Immunity Challenge to anyone in the game. She chose to give it to her husband John. Marissa finished the challenge next, meaning Rupert was the first castaway eliminated from the game.
After the challenge, the five-guys alliance agreed to target Rachel next in the hopes of getting Tyson to take her place on Redemption Island. John wasn't on board with the plan considering Tyson could possibly beat John's wife Candice on Redemption Island.
On the Galang tribe, Colton tried to turn everyone against each other and cause drama in the camp, which the entire tribe felt was off-putting. Aras, Gervase, Monica, Tina and Tyson formed an alliance and talked about possibly getting Colton out next.
The tribes then participated in the second Immunity Challenge of the season. The challenge involved 3 members of each tribe tied together while rolling a barrel with another tribe member in it. That person then had to untie bags of balls. The remaining tribe members had to toss the balls into six different holes. Galang wound up getting the balls in the holes first and won the Immunity Challenge.
John showed that he was unwilling to vote out Rachel, which concerned several of the men. The women also noticed that they were outnumbered and mostly accepted their fate.
At Tribal Council, Rachel became the fourth person voted out by a vote of 5-2-1. She will join Candice and Marissa on Redemption Island.
