'The Voice' Auditions: Blake Shelton and Adam Levine Rivalry Heats Up as Teams Form in Week 2 VIDEO
Blake Shelton and Adam Levine are ramping up their rivalry on season 5 of The Voice.
While the two have a definite bromance going on, they are also the only two Voice coaches to take on of their team members to victory on the NBC show. With only one win under his belt, Levine is itching to take down the 3-time winner and current reigning champ.
The Maroon 5 singer may actually manage to pull it off, considering he apparently snagged some of the performers Shelton had been eyeing.
"I had a hard time getting people to come with me this year on my team, and Adam had some good points," Shelton said, according to E!. "He threw out some stuff about the NBA and how nobody's ever won four of anything in a row-I can't remember what these stats were-but he actually got in some people's heads and stole some people."
It's not just Shelton's ear for talent that has helped him so often, but rather a combo of his performers abilities and his own strength as a coach and mentor.
"Blake, as a coach and as a friend, too, he's caring," said season 4 winner Danielle Bradbery, according to CMT. "He really has your back no matter what, and he really makes sure you're OK with everything, and he treats everybody the same."
In the meantime, Levine can often be heard telling the 37-year-old that he "needs to lose."
Check out a preview for next weeks episode and tune in to NBC on Mondays and Tuesdays to see how the rivalry progresses.
