'Agents of SHIELD' Spoilers: Coulson Heads to Peru, Smulders Return as Maria Hill, Fitz and Simmons Fight VIDEO
Coulson's team will be heading to Peru in the second episode of Marvel's Agents of SHIELD.
Marvel's first live action series from Joss Whedon debuted this week with over 12 million viewers. When the series returns next Tuesday, the agents will be investigating an object of unknown origin in "0-8-4."
However, it appears Coulson (Clark Gregg) will hit a bit of a snag when Comandante Camilla Reyes (Leonor Varela) takes the fight to the agents' home base as it travels through the sky.
New stills from the episode show the inside of the SHIELD plane in complete disarray. While Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton) flies through the air in front of the SHIELD logo in order to take down a solider who, for what its worth, appears to be in severe pain, it looks like the team's techies are going to need to do their fair share of fighting.
Although Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) and Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) are well versed in engineering and biochem, hand-to-hand combat may not be their strong suit. However, it appears Fitz will be taking the fight technical as he is shown operating smoothing from a touch screen computer.
It is still unknown whether or not Agent Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) will be making a reappearance in this episode. Despite her role in the premiere, Smulders is also busy filming the last season of CBS' How I Met Your Mother. E! recently revealed that Hill would in fact be a recurring character in several episodes in season 1 and could become a regular during a possible season 2.
Marvel's Agents of SHIELD airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
