For the agents of NICS: Los Angeles, the impending return of operation psychologist Nate Getz (Peter Cambor) means that there are still hard times and tough decisions ahead for the team.

Over the course of the last four season, Nate moved from has Afghanistan, to an American prison, to Yemen, in an effort to track the Warriors of Islam. However, following the events of "Descent" and "Ascension," Nate must return in order to help the NCIS agents recover psychologically.

Hetty May Not Want Deeks Back As in Agents in NCIS: LA Season 6

"Well, when you have a couple of agents who have been tortured, there's always a little bit of a debrief with the resident psychiatrist or psychologist," said series creator Shane Brennan, according to TV Line. "So yes, he makes an appearance - and it won't be his last appearance this season."

While a large portion of the season will focus on Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) journey as he struggles to determine his place as an agent/detective as well as untangle his relationship with Kensi (Daniela Ruah), another member of the team will be having a difficult time. In an uncanny turn of events, it appears that Hetty (Linda Hunt) may be losing her edge.

"This will be the toughest season for Hetty," Brennan said, according to TV Guide. "She sends people out into danger, running towards the bullets in effect, and she's done that all of her career. ... The way this impacts her people, these events, and the personal effect it has on them, puts her in a very difficult position as the leader of the team. In fact, she is going to have some very difficult decisions to make this season - including a decision about the future of one of her agents."
