'The Mentalist' Season 6 Spoilers: Rigsby and Van Pelt Wedding to be 'Low Key', Grace's Feelings Revealed by Patrick Jane's Ruse VIDEO
The Mentalist is moving forward with a lot of plot lines in season 6, including furthering the relationship between Agents Wayne Rigsby (Owain Yeoman) and Grace Van Pelt (Amanda Righetti).
While investigating a death at a wedding in episode 3, "Wedding In Red," the couple will make the leap into married life. Although the decision will be rather sudden, the cast thinks the story will wrap up nicely.
"As much as the dream was to have the Cinderella moment, I think its actually quite fitting that its very low key, its just us," Yeoman said, according to a recent interview with ET. "It's been a long journey, its five and a half years of a very up and down courtship so I kind of like the fact that in the end it was just about [Van Pelt] and I."
While Rigsby may not have known how important a wedding was to his girlfriend, he will find out figuring the episode.
"I think there's a part of Van Pelt that has to be revealed in order for Jane's ruse to work and we don't really see that side of Van Pelt and what the wedding sort of meant to her before her and O'Laughlin," Righetti told ET.
Considering her last fiancée was Red John's accomplice, it seems appropriate that Van Pelt should receive a nice moment before the character departs the show.
The Mentalist airs Sundays at 10 p.m. ET on CBS.
