Casting for The Avengers: Age of Ultron appears to be winding down.

Today, the Latino Review stated that Aaron Taylor-Johnson has been officially cast for the role of Quicksilver in the 2015 film. While there has been no word form Marvel Studios or director Joss Whedon confirming the selection of the silver-haired hero, Johnson seems the most likely candidate since he has a lot to say about the comic book denizen in recent inter views.

"There's years - over 50 years - of backstory on him all there to use, and I like doing that. Him and his sister [Scarlet Witch] have been abandoned by their parents and their father, and they grew up in Eastern Europe defending and looking out for themselves and each other," Johnson recently told Total Film. "When people haven't been shown your range like that, then they're a bit more skeptical - they may not want you to push the boundaries in that way. But that's what I'm interested in as an actor."

Formerly of Kick Ass and Kick Ass 2, Johnson is currently working on Godzilla with Elizabeth Olsen, the actress who will soon play his mutant superhero sister, the Scarlett Witch.

While Samuel L. Jackson recently let slip that Olsen would make an appearance in Age of Ultron, he did not specify which part the 24-year-old actress would play. A source recently told Deadline that it was "just a matter of formality before [Olsen's deal is] done."

The Avengers: Age of Ultron is Marvel's Phase Two capstone film and will hit theaters in the summer of 2015.
