'Girl Meets World' Spoilers: Show Axes Older Brother Character, Teo Halm Responds
Girl Meets World -- the Boy Meets World spin-off -- is already axing one of its main characters.
Actor Teo Halm tweeted Saturday that he would no longer be on the show.
Halm was slated to play Elliot Matthews, the older brother of the show's protagonist, Riley Matthews (Rowan Blanchard.)
"So guys, Disney decided that it wouldn't work to have an older brother on the show; I won't be on Girl Meets World. Thank you to everyone," Halm wrote on Twitter.
Girl Meets World star Danielle Fishel, who is reprising her role as Topanga from the original series, responded to Halm on Twitter.
"Teo, you are an incredible talent and I adore you. You may still call me 'mom,'" she wrote.
Girl Meets World which is scheduled to premiere in 2014, and Boy Meets Word originals Cory (Ben Savage) and Topanga (Fishel) will return as Riley's parents.
