'Once Upon a Time' Season 3 Spoilers: Episode 3 Preview Teases Tinker Bell & Regina's 'Complicated History' [VIDEO]
Once Upon a Time co-creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz recently revealed what viewers can expect from episode 3 next Sunday.
The upcoming episode, titled Quite a Common Fairy, will feature the first appearance of Tinker Bell (Rose McIver), the iconic fairy from the Peter Pan universe of characters. Kitsis and Horowitz spoke with Zap2It recently and revealed that their version of Tinker Bell would be slightly different from how the fairy is commonly perceived.
"Like all characters we try to bring into the Once fold, we try to have a spin on it that might be a little different from what you expect," Horowitz teased, referring to the fairy. "And also there's a connection to some of our characters that you've already met."
The trailer for Quite a Common Fairy features Regina (Lana Parrilla) telling Emma (Jennifer Morrison) that she has a "complicated history" with Tinker Bell. Regina confronts Tinker Bell at the end of the trailer, which results in the fairy blowing pixie dust in her face and knocking her out. The episode will likely feature an explanation of Tinker Bell and Regina's history.
The creators also discussed Neal (Michael Raymond-James) and how he will come to be important in episode 3.
"Neal is very important to many characters on the show who are behaving in certain ways because they are operating under the knowledge that he is dead," Kitsis explained. "Episode 3 is going to show where that's headed and Neal is, come hell or high water, going [to] come back to Neverland."
Horowitz added that there would be "a wrinkle" to that story which would be delved into in the coming episodes. Neal was last seen in the season 3 premiere traveling to Rumplestiltskin's (Robert Carlyle) castle and discovering that Emma was in Neverland. The creators previously said that Neal would have a tough road ahead in order to get home.
Once Upon a Time airs Sundays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
