'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo' Season 3 Spoilers: The Thompsons Prep for Halloween; Spookify the House As Filming Begins [PHOTOS]
The Thompsons have started preparing for Halloween as filming for season 3 of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo begins.
The Daily Mail published images of the Thompsons' house all done up with rather colorful Halloween paraphernalia -- cobwebs, skeletons, pumpkin heads, and ghoulish looking creatures. In some of the pictures, Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson is seen enjoying a hula hoop session in the lawn of the house. In another picture she is seen helping her mother, June Shannon, with the decorations.
The 8-year-old Alana is also seen carrying her 14-month-old niece Kaitlyn in one of the images. Yellow "caution" strips -- which have been put around the house to cordon off the set-up for filming -- are visible in most of the pictures.
Season 3 will premiere on Jan. 1 of 2014 at 9 p.m. E.T.on TLC with a New Year special capturing the "unconventional honeymoon" of Shannon "Mama June" Thompson and Mike "Sugar Bear" Thompson. TLC has also lined up two more specials and ordered 12 episodes of the show for the season.
Less than a week after the season 2 finale aired last month, it was rumored that filming for the show's third season had already begun. The family was spotted shooting scenes in north Georgia. The family was at Lake Winnepesaukah in Rossville on Sept. 14 and later enjoyed a night out at Vaudeville Cafe in Chattanooga.
After the sighting, June wrote about the day out in a Facebook post dated Sept. 10.
"Went to a good crazy dinner show last night Chattanooga Tennessee had a good day ever in the area check it out," she wrote.
When fans were a bit disappointed at having missed them, June followed-up her post with an apology: "We want here but over night was filming for something close by couldn't post we was here sorry."
She went on to announce that Here Comes Honey Boo Boo had been renewed for a third season also in a Facebook post.
"Thanks so much for supporting us through another season looking forward to next season as we start backup production tomorrow..." she wrote on Sept. 10.
