The Scarlet Knights will travel to Louisville, Kentucky to take on the Cardinals Thursday night at 7:30 pm EST.

Eight-ranked Louisville, who has yet to lose a game this season, has played some easy breezy teams thus far. They will most likely be challenged this evening when they go up againt the Scarlet Knights.

Rutgers (4-1) is known for averaging 40 per came recently came off a triple-overtime 55-52 victory at Southern Methodist. Though the Scarlet Knights don't have a perfect-winning season so far like the Cardinals, they play tough.

For Louisville, it hasn't been easy against Rutgers. The last six matchups between the schools have been decided by three points or less, including Louisville's 20-17 victory last season.

"It's going to be a good test for us," Louisville coach Charlie Strong said Monday. "If our guys take the time and put in the time and understand just how important this game is, then we'll be on track."

It could be unfortunate for Louisville if DeVante Parker is out due to a right shoulder injury.

Little details were given out regarding Parker's injuries, which were sustained on Saturday. The junior has 21 receptions for 375 yards and six touchdowns, and led the team to a 30-7 victory at Temple.

As for Rutgers, Coach Kyle Flood announced that linebacker Jamal Merrel, who has been out three games for a kidney injury, would be returning to play against the Cardinals.

"He passed all the tests and qualifications that need to [pass] to get cleared," Flood told CBS. "Physically, he looked like could've played last week but he wasn't medically ready to play. Now he's cleared."
