BBC's hit program, Sherlock, continues to garner attention for its upcoming series, which will be returning at some point in the near future for its third installment.

While there hasn't been too much chatter on the spoiler front, writer Mark Gatiss recently dished to Kastaborous that Sherlock's upcoming Empty Hearse episode will be based off of Doctor Who's The Web of Fear story.

"We are due to return to the London underground, in fact, the first episode of Sherlock is - because I am obsessed with the Tube and I think it all comes from that story [The Web of Fear] from when I was a kid - is explicitly about the London underground for exactly that reason, because I love The Web of Fear," he said.

In other Sherlock news, actor Benedict Cumberbatch, who dons the role of Sherlock, recently graced The Graham Norton Show with his presence, and briefly spoke on his character and what's to come.

"I can't say an awful lot but he comes back, there's a reunion that doesn't go as planned, there's a wedding and there's a new bad guy," he explained.

Interestingly enough, it's been two years since Sherlock last aired on TV with new episodes. No official launch date has yet to be announced for season 3. Keep checking back with Enstars for more info.
