Nintendo's debut of Pokémon X and Y is only a few hours away and many gamers are wondering which version they should buy.

While fans can always pickup both of the long-awaited games, the two products will be similar in many aspects. However, each game has a few select Pokémon that can only be found within it's packaging.

This is very important when it comes to the two new Legendary Pokémon. According to the International Digital Times, the Legendary Pokémon represent a loose theme of the game. This mean that X, which has the Fairy type Xerneas, will focus more on order. Meanwhile, Y is home to Yveltal, a Dark-Flying type who will give the game more of a chaotic tone.

X and Y will both introduce the new Fairy type. Nintendo promises that the Fairy type will be effective in battling the Dragon type and each game comes with their own exclusive Fairy creatures. For X this includes Swirlix, which evolves to Slurpuff. Y has Spritzee, which evolves to Aromatisse.

The new Mega Evolution Pokémon may be one of the biggest changes to the game, but it appears they will be largely the same between the two versions. The only exceptions to this are for Mega Charizard and Mega Mewtwo.

Mega Charizard X will change from a Fire-Flying type to a Fire-Dragon type and gains Tough Claws ability while Mega Charizard Y will retain its type but gain Drought.

Mega Mewtwo X will change from a Psychic type to a Psychic-Fighting type with Steadfast ability. Mega Mewtwo Y will retain its Psychic type but gain Insomnia ability. The Y version is several feet smaller than its X counterpart.

Pokémon X and Y will release at 12 a.m. on Oct. 12.
