'NCIS: LA' Season 5 Spoilers: 3 SNEAK PEEK Clips, Callen's Father Abducted, Agent Banned From Case VIDEO
NCIS: Los Angeles has released three sneak peeks at the upcoming 100 th episode, "Reznikov, N."
The new clips, if watched in order, comprise a large chunk of the episode's opening scenes. While the show seems to start off innocently enough, viewers are soon drawn into and intriguing case regarding Agent Callen's (Chris O'Donnell) past.
Following a wall-climbing competition between Callen and Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen), Hetty (Linda Hunt) summons the team up to Ops but not before she sends Callen off the Camp Pendleton for agent assessment.
Once Sam (LL Cool J), Kensi (Daniela Ruah), and Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) make their way to Ops, they are confronted with pictures of a severely shot up house and a severed finger. However, there is something off screen that makes Sam wonder if Callen has heard about this case. Hetty informs him that his partner is not cleared for this particular investigation and is not to know about it.
That doesn't stop Callen, though. For reasons unknown, the lead agent arrives at the crime scene to find out what everyone has been hiding from him. A message scrawled in blood on the wall reads, "Callen we have your father."
Callen's history has long been an enigma to both NCIS and himself, although season 2 and 3 saw revelations regarding his mother and his sister. Series creator Shane Brennan promises fans will find out a major piece of the agent's story this season.
"You know that little tea tin sitting on the mantle in Callen's house, filled with little pieces of his past, pieces of that jigsaw?" Brennan asked TV Line. "Well, he adds another very significant piece of the puzzle to that box...It's incredibly emotional."
