'The Good Wife' Season 5 Spoilers: Firm Being Sued as Hostile Workplace; Preview and Latest Stills [VIDEO]
In the promo for episode 4 of season 5 of The Good Wife, the firm, Lockhart/Gardner, is being sued for being a hostile workplace.
In the episode, Outside the Bubble, there will also be a lot of inside office politics and things will heat up as Diane's (Christine Baranski) Supreme Court candidacy will put her at odds with Will (Josh Charles).
But the main highlight of this episode will be the fact that the firm will get sued for being a hostile workplace. In the teaser, Alicia (Juliana Margulies) informs Diana about this new development, to which Diane responds with a mix of shock and exasperation, "Oh, dear god!"
The promo also builds up to the most anticipated episode of this season which will air on Oct. 27, and it is being pitted as the "episode that will change everything." In the clip that plays with the build-up, Will is seen charging toward Alicia's desk, and knocking everything off it in one aggressive sweep. "Get out of here, Alicia," he says to her in a very stern tone.
In last week's episode, A Precious Commodity, Will held a secret meeting discussing Diane's exit package, but when he finally offered it to her, she rejected it. Will also asked Alicia if she would be willing to step into Diane's place, and Alicia did consider it. But after she saw how things went down between Will and Diane, Alicia told Cary that they needed to start planning their exit next week.
Alicia was also working on a case in the last episode, representing a surrogate mother who went against the wishes of the biological parents. Some fatal complications developed during her pregnancy, which might have caused the baby to die a few days after it is born. The couple therefore wanted to terminate the pregnancy, but the surrogate would not hear about it.
Outside the Bubble will air on Oct. 20 at 8 p.m. E.T. on CBS.
