'Person of Interest' Season 3 Spoilers: Will Shaw Become Reese's New Love Interest? [VIDEO]
New Person of Interest regular Sarah Shahi teased the possibility of her character Shaw becoming romantically involved with Reese (Jim Caviezel).
Shahi, who was promoted to series regular status in season 3, spoke with TV Guide in a Tuesday report about Shaw's chemistry with Reese and whether or not she sees romance in their future.
"Shaw, sexually, is probably like a praying mantis," Shaw joked. "Afterward, she eats them." On a serious note, she said she'll only be ready for her character to have a love interest once she's integrated into the team.
"Reese and Finch are teaching her some bedside manner, teaching her to go for the kneecaps, not the jugular," Shahi said.
Fans of Shaw and Shahi's promotion to series regular status should be pleased to learn that the show will be delving into her origin story in next week's episode. Person of Interest executive producers Jonathan Nolan and Greg Plageman spoke with reporters recently and revealed the upcoming origin story.
Nolan and Plageman revealed that episode 5, titled Razgovor, would feature an "eye-opening story" about Shaw. The storyline would reveal some information about who she is as a person and how she turned into the person she is now.
The producers also said that there will be an episode further into the season in which they explain why she has a stronger connection to Bear the dog than anyone else on the team.
Person of Interest airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. on CBS.
