The Americans fans wondering if Margo Martindale would return as Claudia for season 2 can wonder no longer: she's back.

The Americans executive producer Joel Fields confirmed to TVLine Wednesday that Martindale would return next season, though the number of episodes is unknown.

"Sources say this intel is very strong," Fields quipped when asked if Martindale would return. "She'll be back for at least one episode."

It was uncertain if Martindale would return as Claudia, the KGB handler to Philip (Matthew Rhys) and Elizabeth (Keri Russell) after the events of the season 1 finale. Claudia was reassigned back to Russia per the couple's request.

Additionally, Martindale is currently starring in the CBS sitcom The Millers, which has been one of the most viewed new shows of the season. The report claims that the veteran actress will juggle both The Americans and The Millers.

The Americans has just begun filming it second season. Rhys and Russell were photographed on set in Farmingdale, NY. this week at Adventureland Amusement Park. The onscreen couple was photographed on an amusement park ride.

Fans can expect a lot of change in the upcoming season of The Americans, according to comments in August by Russell.

"I think a lot has changed for [Elizabeth] in this year," she told HitFix. "That's what's so exciting about playing this character - for someone who sees things so black and white - this massive shift has taken place from the moment the husband says, 'We should defect.' Even though maybe she knew it was coming at some level it's a massive sea change and then the death of all these people in her life. All these massive supporters."

Season 2 of The Americans is scheduled to premiere in February 2014.
