Liam may have finally realized that he lost his shot of being with Hope on The Bold and the Beautiful.

In a new preview for the Oct. 18 episode, he pays Hope (Kim Matula) a visit at the Forrester boutique after the launch of her Hope For The Future Collection. Liam (Scott Clifton) discusses their problems and hints that he is finally taking responsibility for his actions.

"I think when you really love someone, everything that they do becomes a sign for you to read," he said.

Liam could potentially be realizing that sending a tribute video to his ex-wife Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) mere weeks before his plans to marry Hope were wrong, and he is now ready to accept why Hope has called off their engagement.

He also seems to acknowledge in the clip that maybe the two are better off apart for good considering their messy history.

"We've let it all slip through our fingers how many times now?" he asked.

Liam potentially giving up on Hope could pave the way for her to officially begin dating his brother Wyatt (Darin Brooks). That relationship could be set up for disaster as well if Hope ever finds out that Wyatt's mother, Quinn (Rena Sofer), was the one responsible for emailing the video to her.

Meanwhile, Maya (Karla Mosley) has decided that Rick (Jacob Young) needs to now her feelings for him before she truly considers marrying Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor), and may be cutting Rick's blissful happiness over Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) accepting his proposal.

The Bold and the Beautiful airs Monday-Friday at 1:30 p.m. on CBS.
