'Once Upon a Time' Season 3 News: Marilyn Manson Voicing The Shadow in Upcoming Episode [VIDEO]
The Shadow has found its voice on Once Upon a Time. Shock rocker Marilyn Manson has been announced as the voice of the Shadow, the mysterious force with ties to Neverland. ABC broke the news to Rolling Stone Friday, revealing that he will be voicing the Shadow in episode 8.
"We've always been enormous fans of Marilyn Manson," Once Upon a Time co-creator Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz said in a statement to Rolling Stone. "We wanted to cast someone with the vocal ability to make our skin crawl."
Manson will be heard in the eighth episode of the season, titled Think Lovely Thoughts, which is scheduled to air on Sunday, Nov. 17 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
The Shadow will likely try to prevent Emma (Jennifer Morrison), Mary Margaret (Ginnifer Goodwin), Regina (Lana Parrilla), David (Josh Dallas), Mr. Gold (Robert Carlyle) and Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) from saving Henry (Jared Gilmore) in Neverland. The Shadow first appeared in the penultimate episode of season 2.
Appropriately, the title of the episode after Manson's voice debut as the Shadow is Save Henry. Horowitz spoiled the title for episode 9 on his Twitter account Friday, showing a photo of the script.
After Save Henry, Once Upon a Time will then air two more episodes before taking a lengthy hiatus. The fantasy series will then come back for 11 more episodes starting on March 9.
Once Upon a Time airs Sundays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
