LSU vs. Ole Miss NCAA Football Live Stream: Watch Free Online 7 PM EST
No. 6 ranked LSU will travel to Mississippi to take on Ole Miss Saturday evening at 7 pm.
The Tigers' (6-1, 3-1) number one priority is not to get overlooked by the Rebels (3-3, 1-3) who have been struggling after losing three games straight. The last two losses came by a combined seven points.
LSU coach Les Miles said he intends for his team to play at its best at "the back end" of the season and hopes his team will take home the win Saturday night.
"Any time you line up against the Ole Miss team, there's tradition and history," Miles said, according to ESPN.
Both teams both have history-- LSU has won six of the eight match-ups with Ole Miss, though half of those wins were by seven points or less. Last season, the Tigers beat Ole Miss 41-35.
On defense, injuries are a big concern for Mississippi, for a team like the Tigers who has been averaging 41.4 points.
"It's part of the game, but you sure hate it," Mississippi Coach HUgFreeze said. "You hate it for the kids. You fear that because of our depth issues we won't be able to adequately represent the progress we're making against these top teams. But that's part of the game. We won't blink. We'll get the ones we have ready."
Even on defense stopping LSU's offense is another huge challenge for Ole Miss.
"Our goal (against LSU) will be to eliminate the amount of explosive plays that they have and manage the game that way," Freeze said. "But those guys are good enough where they're going to win some of those battles."
