A new report revealed that Kathy Wakile is only on the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey because the show's producers really wanted her sister Rosie Pierri.

"Kathy is a not a housewife anymore," a show insider told Radar Online. "They wanted Rosie, not Kathy."

The network reportedly knew that Pierri would not tape another season unless her sister was also on board so they offerred Wakile part-time status.

"Rosie would never sign a contract without Kathy," the insider revealed. "So what they did was they made them split a contract. They are 'friends of the housewives' with a split contract... Trust me, you aren't going to be seeing too much of Kathy next season. They only got her to get to Rosie."

Pierri was promoted for several reasons. According to the insider, she's in demand because her relationship with Joe Giudice is a hot-button for viewers, she is the first and only openly gay cast member and her personality is intriguing.

"People think she's funny... getting completely drunk... sometimes it can get a little perverted and a little crazy," added the source. "That's Bravo."

However, the switch from full-time to part-time status did not go over well with Wakile.

"Oh my god, I heard she pulled some tantrum," the insider said. "Pulled a tantrum!"

Last week, Radar Online first reported that Wakile was demoted to a part-time role while Pierri would return as a full-time cast member.

"The financial terms of her contract have been drastically reduced," the source explained about Wakile's demotion in the previous report.
