American Idol Eliminations: Hollie Cavanagh's Last Words 'I Was Always Very Scared'
On Thursday night, Hollie Cavanagh was eliminated from American Idol leaving only three contestants in the show: Joshua Ledet, Jessica Sanchez and Philip Phillips.
The 18-year-old singer from McKinney, Texas admitted in an interview that she always felt intimidated on Idol's stage.
"I was always very scared to be on the stage and very nervous and timid," Cavanagh admitted in an interview after her elimination.
It wasn't something the judges ignored. Often times they pointed out that she lacked emotions or the emotions overwhelmed her.
That was the case of her last performance Wednesday that failed to impress judges.
"Maybe you knew it had to be emotional. There was a little too mucn vibrato," judge Jennifer Lopez told her.
"I thought it fell a little short of the dynamic range of how you can sing," Steven Tyler noted.
Still, she managed to get to the Top 4.
In her after elimination interview Cavanagh also said the whole experience on the show gave her more condifence in herself.
"I'm feeling good. I mean this experience has been so crazy and so intense, but I mean just looking back... I see how much I got to grow and how much more confidence I have in myself," Cavanagh said.
