Simon Cowell agreed to put his pride aside for a charitable cause by singing in front of a room full of complete strangers.

At a charity benefit event in Beverly Hills on Tuesday, Power Rangers creator Haim Saban offered to give $1 million in donation to the Friends of Israel Defence Forces if the X Factor judge sang the show's theme along with him.

Cowell, whose expecting his first child in February with girlfriend Lauren Silverman accepted the challenge.

Midway through his performance of the "Go Go Power Rangers" singer, Simon jokingly pleaded to donate $100,000 of his own money if she was allowed to stop singing.

Saban then accepted his offer that he could stop singing for $250,000.

Recently, fellow X Factor judge, Kelly Rowland persuaded Cowell to sing during auditions for the show in Denver Colorado after he wasn't impressed with a contestant's rendition of the 1940's class, "Fools Rush In."

"I knew that voice was always there," Rowland said.

Meanwhile, Cowell already knows what he wants to name his son.

"The first time I saw it, it was that big," he told Access Hollywood. "I called him Tad, because he looked like a Tadpole, I still want to call him Tad.

Cowell, who previously said he didn't want any children quickly had a change of heart once he knew Silverman was pregnant.

"Then you see the thing grow and you become so attached to it," he added. "I never thought I would be that way, you know I never wanted kids before."
