The third installment of AMC's hit TV series, The Walking Dead, clearly didn't disappoint, as the group continues to struggle with the increasing presence of the walkers in season 4, which seem to be growing in numbers by the day.

Amid the zombie threat, Carol (Melissa McBride) has fallen front and center into the midst of turmoil when she admitted to Rick (Andrew Lincoln) that she's the one responsible for the charred bodies of Karen and David, which was clearly done to prevent them from potentially turning on the rest of the prison faction.

The Hollywood Reporter recently spoke to comic book creator and executive producer Robert Kirkman, who made it clear that Carol will indeed be facing backlash for her controversial actions.

"The outcome of this is going to be something that none of them have been expecting and none of them could have prepared for," he said.

The Walking Dead is set to make its return to the small screen for episode 4, Indifference, on Sunday, Nov. 3 at 9/8 p.m. Central Standard Time.
