A preview video for the fourth installment of CW's series Arrow, titled Crucible, shows Black Canary about to tell Oliver Queen (Stephen Arnell) who she really is.

According to HNGN, Oliver Queen will finally find out the truth: not only did Sara Lance (Caity Lotz) not die, but she is the Black Canary.

Much to the chagrin of many comic book fans, the show will not be sticking to the graphic novel's mythology. In the comic book series Sara's sister, Laurel (Katie Cassidy), is the Black Canary.

Executive producer of Arrow Andrew Kreisberg explained the change to TV Guide.

"Everyone knows that Laurel Lance is the Black Canary. That's the way it is in the comic books, but how we get from A to B is the story of our show. In the same way that Oliver, when we meet him, is the vigilante, but this season he's going to becoming the Arrow, that's the step of his journey to eventually becoming the Green Arrow."

The writer and producer went on to explain why his show is different from the comic.

"Laurel Lance right now is a lawyer with a lot of heart and a lot of humanity and courage. But it takes more than that to put on the mask and go out and fight crime," he said. "Our series is the evolution of that. People will see how Caity Lotz fits into Laurel's journey along the way. For us, it's very emotional and surprising and exciting. I would say to everybody, we haven't let you down so far. Keep going on this ride with us."

Crucible airs Wednesday, Oct. 30, at 8 p.m. ET on CW. Be sure to keep checking back for more of the latest info on this series.
