'American Horror Story: Coven' Spoilers: Another Witch to Die as Dylan McDermott Returns? [VIDEO]
American Horror Story co-creator Ryan Murphy recently teased that another witch might die in the upcoming episode of Coven.
Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Murphy teased that one of the questions for next week's episode is "who of the witches are going to die?"
At the end of Wednesday night's episode, an entire troupe of voodoo zombies descended upon the Academy, seemingly intent on eating and killing anyone in their path. Fiona (Jessica Lange) and Cordelia (Sarah Paulson) won't be there to protect them as the latter is away at the hospital after getting burned with acid.
"Fiona is at the hospital with her daughter who was blinded by acid so, without her, who amongst those girls is strong enough to rise up and protect them?" Murphy teased. "So that's a really big clue I think that helps get the audience closer to the idea of who of these girls is the Supreme. Who's the one who Fiona should be afraid of?"
Fans wondering if Emma Roberts would ever be coming back as Madison should expect a particularly outrageous return, according to Murphy.
"Keep watching because she's dead but not gone. What Spalding [Denis O'Hare] puts her through in the next couple of episodes is quite remarkable." Murphy revealed. "It's the most shocking thing we've ever done on the show and that happened truly by accident. I thought it was a real, bizarre Grand Guignol series of scenes but they're just very sick and twisted and oddly funny."
In other American Horror Story news, season 1 regular Dylan McDermott fueled rumors that he might be appearing on Coven this season. The actor appeared on Watch What Happens Live Wednesday night and said he was still in talks with Murphy and co.
"We're still talking about it. Depends on my schedule with Hostages but American Horror is my home and I hope to go back to it," McDermott teased.
McDermott played Dr. Ben Harmon in season 1 and recurred as Johnny a.k.a. Bloody Face 2.0 in Asylum.
American Horror Story: Coven airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on FX.
