NeNe Leakes Tax Problem: The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 6 Star Owes IRS $25K (VIDEO)
As fans anxiously wait for the Real Housewives of Atlanta's season six premiere, one of its stars, Nene Leakes and her husband Greg, are caught in the middle of tax issues.
It turns out NeNe owes $25,212 to the state of California's Tax Board for not paying her taxes on her pizza business, Famous Famiglia. According to Hip Hop Daily Press, the lien dates back to July 17 of this year. On top of that, her husband, Greg, owes $134,086 to the IRS in the State of Georgia in two separate issues. The first is for a total of $88,334 while the second equals out to $45,752.
In other NeNe news, Leakes has allegedly gotten into an altercation with her on-again-off-again RHOA co-star and best friend, Marlo Hampton. The two have been a little hostile with each other lately and Bravo producers encouraged it for a deeper and juicier storyline. It's said to have escalated at Cynthia Bailey's bowling party the weekend of Oct. 13 when the two got into an argument and Leakes took it out on one of the show's producers, Carlos King, by throwing water on him. Insiders said she then gave him an ultimatum stating the only way she would stay ont he show is if Hampton was fired. But Leakes' has mainted her innoceence.
On Friday Oct. 11 she tweeted, "The police we just talked 2 was so great! Thank you APD...Some people just belong n jail! See u court."
