While Netflix's Orange Is The New Black has undoubtedly contributed to the evolution of scripted Internet programming, it has also played a part in blurring the lines of sexuality in terms of its cast members' intimacy levels.

Actress Uzo Aduba, who dons the role of Suzanne "Crazy Eyes" Warren on the popular show, attributes the show's success with the way fans can relate to its characters, according to Program TV Drama.

"You can see their humanity, and identify and connect with that. I think a lot of people would be surprised how much of themselves they see in these characters," she said.

Aduba went on to explain that OITNB's wide range of sexuality covers a lot of ground, whether it be simple companionship or complex sexual exploration.

"It crosses every arena in terms of sex-sexuality. It lets people who are open, fluid, defined, whatever. You can be any place in this show. You're coming in and you're going to be gay for the stay, or you just want a friend of companionship or just to be touched ... there's that," she added.

The actress continued on the sensitive topic, further elaborating on the program's sexual originality.

I think it shows for anybody in the world that there's so many different places that sexuality can be defined and redefined," she added.
