Dancing with the Stars 2012 Elimination: Maria Menounos Doesn't Make it to the Finals
Maria Menounos was voted off from Dancing with the Stars 2012 tonight despite earning the highest score on the performance show Monday.
Donald Driver and his dancing partner Peta Murgatroyd, William Levy and Cheryl Burke and Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas will battle for the Mirror Ball Trophy next week.
Menounos thanked her fans, her family, the show and her employer, “Extra.” ”I obviously want to thank Derek because I wouldn’t have made it this far without his amazing, talented choreography,” she said.
“I loved, loved, loved dancing with this woman,” Hough said. “She’s been an incredible person.”
Although many fans were disappointed for her departure others were looking forward for the finals.
"Can't wait to see what the top 3 will bring to the finals next week...especially William & Donald," one Facebook user said after the results were unveiled.
Carrie Underwood performed "Good Girl" on today's results show and Alanis Morissette performed her new single "Guardian."
Julianne Hough returned to the ballroom for a rockin' performance with Diego Boneta, her "Rock of Ages" co-star.
Menounos and her dancing partner Derek Hough had taken the lead on Monday totaling 59 out of 60 points. William Levy and his pro partner Cheryl Burke ranked second with 58 points out of 60.
Jenkins had finished last after suffering a back injury during her second dance.
