'The Voice' Results Tonight 2013 VIDEO: Season 5 Top 20, Team Blake Playoffs; Shelbie Z, Nic Hawk, Ray Boudreaux, Austin Jenckes, Cole Vosbury WATCH Performance VIDEO
The Voice entered the Playoffs on Monday night, and the member of Team Blake Shelton gave it their all to impress potential voters during the first live show of season 5.
Shelbie Z was the first contestant from Team Blake to take the stage. A cosmetologist and pageant consultant, Shelbie took on Reba McEntire's Fancy. Her rendition of the country song led to praise from the judges for her charisma and commanding presence.
Nic Hawk was next on the chopping block for Team Blake. Taking into account his background in dance and musical theater, some viewers may have been skeptical about Hawk's ability to rap. He definitely proved them wrong and received glowing praise from all four coaches.
Despite having the misfortune to take the stage directly after Hawk's stellar performance, Ray Boudreaux performed a solid rendition of Marc Broussard's Home. The Team Blake member was praised for his ability to take the sound he likes and manage to convey it to the audience.
Next up for Team Blake was Austin Jenckes. With his father's guitar in hand, Jenckes performed She Talks to Angels by the Black Crowes. The singer received complements from the coaches in regards to his heart and the fact that he gives each performance 150 percent.
The last member of Team Adam to perform was Cole Vosbury. Although he may come from country music lineage, Vosbury opted to perform Maggie May by Rod Stewart. Adam Levine stated that he regrets not having Vosbury on his team while the other coaches lauded his consistency.
The Voice will be back with a live results show tomorrow at 9 p.m. on NBC.
