Couples on Pretty Little Liars are known for breaking up, so one of the executive producers recently revealed what to expect when season 4 returns in January.

PLL executive producer Marlene King revealed to E!Online that at least two couples should be safe when season 4B premieres.

"Spoby's [Spencer & Toby] solid for now. Haleb [Hanna & Caleb] is in flux, but those two love each other," King revealed. "It's been such a roller coaster ride this year for our couples, and for us when we create the show. I love Spoby, I love Haleb, I love Ezria [Ezra & Aria], and when you put these couples in the ringer as we've done, it's painful for us."

One couple that viewers should pay closer attention to as Pretty Little Liars continues is Ezra (Ian Harding) and Aria (Lucy Hale).

"If I can make myself cry, if I can give myself goosebumps, then it's good storytelling and I know it's effective," King noted, with the report claiming viewers will have to wait and see what happens with Ezra and Aria.

PLL fans shouldn't expect any girl drama involving boys, according to King in a separate interview with Entertainment Weekly.

"We try not to do that on PLL and we'll try not to do that on Ravenswood - we like girls to support girls," she said. "It's sort of the cardinal rule - no PLL ever touches another PLL boyfriend, or girlfriend, in Emily's case."

Pretty Little Liars returns for season 4B on Tuesday, Jan. 7 at 8 p.m. on ABC Family.
