Now that the honeymoon is over on Bones, the show's producers are setting the show back to basics as it prepares for its next big plot development: another serial killer.

Bones executive producer Stephen Nathan told TV Guide that the new serial killer will be less visible on the show than Pelant (Andrew Leeds).

"We are doing this in a completely different way than we have dealt with any of the other recurring killers," Nathan said, describing the new serial killer. "It's not going to be someone who is as visible. Pelant wanted to be known. The next person we meet, we won't necessarily meet. This is going to be somebody who values their anonymity far more than Pelant did."

Bones recently featured the wedding and honeymoon of its main characters Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Booth (David Boreanaz). The show is setting things back into its procedural format before introducing the latest serial killer.

"It is a new era, but we never thought [the wedding] was the end," Nathan said. "We always felt that the marriage was an integral part of their story, but it wouldn't really compromise the show. These characters are so different - that's what sustains the show. Now, in a strange way, they are more honest with each other and their differences can be heightened. But they are dealt with as two people who love each other."

Nathan added that the next few episodes of Bones will be "Brennan-centric," but Booth will get some more interesting story lines later in the season, including the return of Freddie Prinze Jr.

Bones airs its final Monday episode on Nov. 11 at 8 p.m. on Fox. It will then begin airing Fridays at 8 p.m. starting on Nov. 15.
