'NCIS: LA' Season 5 Spoilers: A Suspect From the Past May Cost Hetty Her Job, Granger Gives Warning in 'Fallout' VIDEO
Hetty Lange is the binding force that works to keep the NCIS: Los Angeles team together and although she seems omniscient, a botched former case could cost this operation's manager her job.
While Callen (Chris O'Donnell) and his teamwork to recover an antiterrorism device and recover a dirty bomb during "Fallout," Hetty (Linda Hunt) and Assistant Director Ganger (Miguel Ferrer) are wary of a possible suspect.
A new sneak peek (see video below) reveals that Hetty will pull a specific file in relation to their current case and that action will send up a red flag with Granger. The old case, apparently concerning someone named Griffin, appears to deal with a suspect who had held a prominent career but lost it due to his involvement in an investigation regarding selling secrets, presumably nuclear intel.
However, something went awry during Hetty's pursuit and Griffin was released, an event which Granger seems still be nursing a grudge over. If her old nemesis is in fact behind the current threat and manages to finish his plan, Granger claims everyone up to and including the president will see it as Hetty's fault.
