American Idol Elimination Results: Jessica and Phillip Go to the Finals
Joshua Ledet was voted off from American Idol tonight to the shock of the audience who had witnessed his multiple standing ovations over the entire season.
At the end it came to Ledet and Phillip Phillips since Jessica Sanchez was declared safe.

Before the two finalists were announced Lisa Marie Presley and Adam Lambert turned to the stage to perform in what probably is the most exciting nights of the entire season.
The top three Joshua Ledet, Jessica Sanchez and Phillip Phillips looked very nervous tonight. Ledet said he thought they were all winners and Phillips said he was very blessed to be there.
Lisa Marie Presley performed her new single "You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet."
Rita Wilson and Carol Bayer-Sager were in the audience to pay tribute to singer Donna Summer, who died earlier today.
Adam Lambert, former contestant of American Idol's season 8 performed tonight "Never Close Your Eyes."
Mentor Jimmy Iovine told Joshua he's the most exciting showman in the competition. He said he "overcompensated" with risky moments during 'Imagine' instead of resting in the lyrics themselves.
He thinks his performance of 'No More Drama', lacked something though he says it may have been the melody in the track.
Iovine also told Sanchez her performance of 'My All' came together enough.
Iovine told Phillips his performance of "We Got Tonight" was his best ever but he said 'Disease' was not strong enough for this point of the competition. He also got praised for 'Beggin' as it was "entertaining" and "fun" Iovine said.
