Former Idol Contestant Adam Lambert performed "Never close our eyes".
The top three finalists of American Idol sang their heart out last night. Phillip Phillips and Joshua Ledet were the big performers of the night, with the two male contestants receiving a standing ovations. Phillips performed "We've Got Tonight", totally blowing the judges and audience away. Phillips' girl fans in the crowd were even on the verge of tears as he sang the song beautifully.
Joshua Ledet also received a standing ovation after he opened the show with "I'd Rather Go Blind".
American Idol judge Steven Tyler earlier predicted that Jessica Sanchez would win. Her performance last night received mixed reviews. Some say she nailed the Mariah Carey song "My All", with Randy Jackson calling it the best performance ever of a Mariah Carey song on TV.
Sanchez also sang a rendition of "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing", which she wanted to sing for Tyler. He gave her a standing ovation and said: "You just took a great song and made it greater."
