'NCIS: LA' Season 5 Spoilers: Major Densi Scene In 'Recovery;' Will Deeks and Kensi Split Up in 'Frozen Lake?' VIDEO
Densi fans should hold on to their seats, it looks like it's going to be a white-knuckle ride through the next two episodes of NCIS: Los Angeles.
Writers of the CBS drama have been slowly laying the groundwork for a major play on the Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) and Kensi (Daniela Ruah) relationship front. Ever since last season's sudden kiss, there has been a winding trail of Densi-related breadcrumbs left through episodes as the partners carefully try to navigate their feelings.
It seems things will finally come to a head in Tuesday's "Recovery" and into the following week's "Frozen Lake."
After Deeks posses as a sex addict, he will say something over dinner that will leave Kensi looking stunned.
"I want to be at my place, right now, with you," Deeks can be heard saying in a new promo (see video below) that shows the closing moments of the episode.
Whatever comes next for the duo will be dealt with in "Frozen Lake," and episode that has long been earmarked as a game changer for the partners.
This season is the season of Kensi and Deeks. We haven't hesitated to pull this story forward, which started with the spontaneous kiss that opened up this Pandora's Box of emotions," said series creator Shane Brennan, according to Xfinity. "A little later in the season, around episode 10 or so, things take a fairly difficult turn for both of them."
Meanwhile, Deeks knows that no matter how he feels about Kensi, their relationship will always be made complicated - if not impossible - by their job. However, it remains unclear whether an upcoming split will make things harder or easier on the pair.
"Kensi and Deeks will be split up as partners midseason," Brennan explained to Xfinity. "And when I say split up, they will really be split up. And when you think we can't or won't do anything else, we have got in the back end of the season, a big fat juicy complication in their lives"
NCIS: LA airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
