'The Voice' Results Tonight 2013 VIDEO: Season 5 Top 10 Performances James Wolpert, Matthew Schuler, Kat Robichaud and More VIDEO
The Voice's Top 10 competitors spent Monday night singing their hearts out in an effort to remain on the NBC show.
After making it through last week's Top 12 eliminations, the remaining performers are working hard to make sure they make it on to the next round. With the added help of iTunes sales bonuses, which multiplies an artist's vote by five when their single for that week enters the iTunes Top 10, and Instant Save, which allows voters to save one of the bottom three by tweeting their support, contestants have a lot to strive for.
With three remaining contestants, Team Blake Shelton is still going strong. While Austin Jenckes performed The Outfield's 1986 hit Your Love, Cole Vosbury took on To Be With You by Mr. Big and Ray Boudreaux gave his rendition of You Are the Best Thing from Ray LaMontagne. Boudreaux gave a strong performance and managed to impress Coach Christina Aguilera with the amount of improvement he's shown over the course of the season.
Of Team Christina's two competitors, Matthew Schuler pulled out the better performance. After receiving the iTunes bonus last week for Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah, Schuler decided to go with Beneath Your Beautiful by Labrinth and Emeli Sandé for his Top 10 act. Meanwhile, Jacquie Lee performed Zedd's Clarity.
Team Cee Lo Green was also down to its last two performers. While Caroline Pennell performed Peter, Paul, and Mary's Leaving on a Jet Plane, Kat Robichaud blew away Coach Adam Levine with her "elegant" rendition of Pat Benatar's We Belong. Saved at the last minute by Twitter voters during last week's result show, Robichaud barley made it into the Top 10 but worked hard to prove she belonged on The Voice stage.
Team Adam's final three contestants each had stand out performances. Although James Wolpert struggled a little on the high notes for Badfinger's Without You, both Will Champlin's rendition of John Newman's Love Me Again and Tessanne Chin's performance of If I Were Your Woman by Gladys Knight & the Pips helped to show Team Adam's growing dominance over Team Blake.
The Voice will be back with the Top 10 results Tuesday at 9 p.m. on NBC.
