America's voting eliminated two hopefuls from The Voice on Tuesday night.

The Top 10 was narrowed down to the Top 8 when Kat Robichaud of Team Cee Lo Green and Austin Jenckes of Team Blake Shelton were sent packing following their Monday night performances.

While season 5 contestants have the added help of iTunes sales bonuses, which multiplies an artist's vote by five when their single for that week enters the iTunes Top 10, and Instant Save, which allows voters to save one of the bottom three by tweeting their support, Robichaud and Jenckes received neither of these advantages.

Although Robichaud made it to the Top 10 with the help of the instant save, America took to Twitter to help a different contestant this week. In five minutes of furious tweeting, voters rallied around Caroline Pennell of Team Cee Lo. Placed in the Bottom Three with Robichaud and Jenckes, Pennell managed to move onto the Top 8 by the skin of her teeth.

For his final performance on Monday, Jenckes performed The Outfield's 1986 hit Your Love while Kat Robichaud sang Pat Benatar's We Belong (see videos below). Despite Adam Levine's glowing praise, Robichaud's rendition didn't prove to be such a success with voters.

The Voice airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET and Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
